Welcome to the world of Charlotte Williams, where gospel music, artistry, and beauty intersect. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Natchez, Mississippi, Charlotte’s life has been a testimony of faith, resilience, and creativity. After her parents' separation, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she now resides.
Charlotte’s journey in music began at just five years old, singing in the Baptist choir alongside her grandmother and at AME services with her father. Inspired by gospel, blues, and the Motown sound, she honed her songwriting craft under the mentorship of Tony Mo and Charles Walker, who played lead guitar for the Mighty Clouds of Joy.
Over the years, Charlotte has shared stages with legends like Ms. Shirley Caesar and received several accolades, including the MC Worship Leader of the Year award from Gospel Choice Music Awards. Her music, including hit singles like Heaven, Forget About the Past, and It’s Already Spoken featuring Michael Robertson, reflects her signature storytelling and heart for worship.
In addition to her music career, Charlotte is a professional cosmetologist with a degree from the University of Houston. After an ugly separation in 2019, she channeled her strength into beauty salon management and now owns her own salon.
A mother of a 21-year-old daughter, Charlotte is a praise and worship leader at First Missionary Baptist Church and an active member of the East Texas Gospel Music Professionals. She has also performed in prestigious venues, including Las Vegas and the Dove Awards weekend, and her new Naija-inspired song collection is blazing the music scene.
Currently, Charlotte is working on a book titled A Hidden Gem: How I Got My Wings, which chronicles her journey through music, life, and faith. Today, Charlotte uses her gifts to connect spiritually through worship, bringing joy, inspiration, and healing to audiences everywhere.
Charlotte is also a proud member of GSWC: National Songwriter’s Conference and the founder of Natalin Peagues.
